Farewell for now

As most already know, I have chosen to step down from leading our group of pullers this year in order to focus my time on family, work, and building my pulling tractor. It has been a great privilege to lead this group for so long and all of the positive comments that I have gotten in the past few weeks really proved that the time away from my family the past 6 years has made a difference. We have came a long way but there is a still a ways to go. As you move forward as a group I urge you to not be resistant to changes but also don’t forget who you are as a group. You have your own identity and do not let anyone take that away from you. For this group to continue its path, it’s members need to have a voice. If you have any idea bring it up in a meeting or to the officers. Don’t sit there in silence. As a former officer, it makes things a lot easier if you have people that speak up. You guys/gals know my feeling on this: If you bring up a problem, bring a solution to the table or you are just part of the problem.

With all of that said, I would like to congratulate the 2017/2018 officers. President – Chris Bouc, Vice President – Jason Huenink, Treasurer – Clayton Sweeney, and Secretary – Paula Hanke-Bouc. Over the coming months we will work to transition things to the new officers. A piece of advise to the new leadership, focus on what is good for the group as a whole and not an individual or two.

A few rules were changed for a couple of classes and a few general rules will need to be worked over. I will get those typed up and let the new officers decide how/when to disperse them.

Lastly, Congrats to all of our points champions and thank you to Matt and Derek Hafer for the marvellous meal.

For those that wish to stay in contact with me, feel free to get a hold of me on my personal facebook or the methods below.

Happy Trails & I will see ya’ll at the track!
